On being snowed in!

Published on January 25, 2005

The last 48 hours has dumped about two feet of snow on those of us lucky enough to live in the Boston area. I remember being a kid in upstate New York and while it snowed, it always seemed like everyone always got more than us. Not this time though, eastern Massachusetts bore the brunt of this storm, which the local media outlets have dubbed the “winter wallop – what a terrible name. My point here? Well, I don’t have one, but there is a lot of snow out there. Besides the four hours of shoveling in the last two days, it’s been pretty fantastic. And hey, if I can get a four day weekend in exchange for a little bit of shoveling, sign me up.

I have all these exciting pictures of snow to show you, and I can’t. Because Flickr is down. Again. I’m hoping they will resolve their growing pains soon.

update: I got those pesky photos uploaded. Also, did I completely forget to mention that our good Nick weathered the storm with us? He provided his requisite hugeness as well as excellent blizzard company. Well done.
