On Being Home

Published on October 24, 2004

Just home from a weeks vacation in St. John. Usually towards the end of a vacation I am ready to return and catch up on everything I’ve missed. Not this time, I could’ve taken another week off.

It’s leaving warm weather, clear water, tiny fish following me around, good food, fantastic views and probably the best vacation to date, and back to work, other work, dreary weather, and responsibility.

Not all is lost. It’s good to be home, fun to get used to driving on the right side of the street again, and signifcantly less mosquitos. Plus, there’s baseball to watch!
