The Beach!

Published on June 21, 2004

After some unusual driving circumstances that caused me to take one truck, one car, listen to countless hours of all-male a cappella, and sit in 40 miles of traffic jam, I made it from Boston to New Jersey in six and a half short hours Friday evening. It was a true driving delight.

The rest of the weekend was taken up by eating sushi, watching hundreds of babies run around at some sort of impromptu festival, and lounging on the beach. Please note that Spring Lake (on the New Jersey shore) does not allow coolers of any kind on the beach. Any illegal coolers or their contents (including renegade sandwiches, glass bottles, or fruit) will be met with a $100 fine. You’ve been warned.

The drive back was less eventful and including only Father’s Day chats and high speed cruising.
