One of the workplace buzzwords
Published on September 28, 2002
One of the workplace buzzwords these days is LQ, that’s short for Library Quality. In case you hear me saying this in the future, I wanted to offer a few examples of things that were and were not LQ.
- Mahogany Coat Hangers
- Glass paperweights, 45 dollars a piece
- 3 ring bound manuals, with colour coverpages
- flat screen televisions
Things that are LQ:
- wire coat hangers
- anything stapled, not bound.
- wooden doorstops
- Teva flip-flops
Things that are not LQ:
I hope that clarifies things for you.
I think I am well on my way to writing the most un-funny post in the history of the world.
I ventured home at an astonishing 7:30 pm today, by far the earliest I have gotten out of work in quite some time. Eating three meals a day at work, returning only home only to sleep, shower, and go back to work is do-able, but after a couple weeks, you come to miss the opportunities being home affords you. Things like doing laundry, and talking to people who you don’t work with. I must say though, the people I work with are a good bunch.
yeah. that was bad. i know.
